Seattle

finally Jake arrived and we spent a couple days in Seattle for my brother's wedding. we stayed at a bed and breakfast called the Shaffer Bailey mansion on millinaire's row. it was amazing. this was our room
the mansion was just a block from Volunteer Park, so we took a little time to check it out with Largent the morning of the wedding. this water tower has stairs wrapping around it all the way to the top, and the view was well worth the climb!
as you can see
the fam
and another family shot - look carefully and you can see the space needle behind us. thanks Large for coming with us and taking all these pictures - more family shots than we've had in two years : )
we spent the morning after the wedding taking the kids to explore Bowman Bay. it was WAY too short (we spent more time getting there and back than we did actually at the bay), but it was SOOOOO worth it!
i think jake was explaining high and low tides to Caedmon here
they could have spent an entire day digging in the sand and finding creatures

a baby crab - Caedmon loved them and Addi thought they were terrifying!
hiking out to Rosario beach
family shot with the self timer - not bad!
awww, the bay

a walk down the dock
"cheese!", or "awkward!" as she prefers to say
goodbye Bowman Bay, we'll see you again in a year or two! and hopefully get to stay longer next time!
