fast forward

i have a quick photo-recap for you of our last month (minus the time my family was here visiting, which i'm ashamed to say i didn't get pictures of! what can i say, we were too busy having fun to remember trivial things like taking pictures : )

On this particular day I came into the kids bedroom to find Spiderman lounging on Addi's dollhouse bed. Not sure who placed him there, but it just looked so funny i had to take a picture.

other highlights:

the kids have been doing well minus a couple of colds. caedmon is back to school on M/W/F mornings. i'm back to working at the YMCA on T/TH mornings and working on my nursing class when the house is quiet at night. jake has been working around 15 hours of overtime per week. we're attending a "The Normal Christian Life" by Watchman Nee book study which has been phenomenal. youth group is going well and we seem to have a solid group of kids coming now, so that's always nice, to have youth at a youth group... my piano playing is coming along (my favorite little piece to play right now is Troika). caedmon LOVES lego batman on the wii and asks to play it from the moment he wakes up until the moment he goes to sleep (thank you movius family : ) so we've instituted the 1 hour rule, and jake can't deny that he loves to be able to play with him probably just as much whenever he gets a chance during his hectic week. addi loves dressing up and anything even remotely related to princesses (and even if it's not related at all, she'll just create a connection so whatever she happens to be wearing or doing is in some way "like cinderella"). we're busy planning and saving for our trip to come home this june for my brother joel's wedding and dreaming up our anniversary trip! so that about sums up life here at the leister house, where the weeks are so busy that a whole month flies by and then i remember i haven't posted anything on the blog for a month! so, until next month... : )

  1. Your welcome for the game. I knew when Jeremy rented it that Caedmon would love it. Our girls loved it, too, and I have to admit I had fun playing. Jeremy bought Indiana Jones with his Christmas money and we have enjoyed that.

We got Jeremy the new Mario Bros for the Wii and that is a lot of fun also.

It so good to hear you are all doing well. I keep meaning to call and then it is 9 o'clock and I realize I missed my chance.

    We love you guys.
